Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using MileTag, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use MileTag on your personal Apple devices, subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

No tax advice

MileTag produces mileage records intended to satisfy IRS Publication 463 requirements. We are not a tax preparer, accountant, or law firm, and nothing in MileTag or this website constitutes tax, legal, or financial advice. Consult a licensed tax professional before claiming any deductions. The IRS is the final authority on what records are acceptable.

Accuracy

MileTag uses GPS, motion sensors, and (optionally) OBD-II hardware to record trips. While we work to make detection accurate, GPS and Bluetooth signals can be imperfect. You are responsible for reviewing your mileage logs for accuracy before submitting them to the IRS or your employer.

Warranty disclaimer

MileTag is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free recording, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hyfidelity, LLC and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of MileTag — including but not limited to lost deductions, IRS audits, or vehicle wear.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
